We are seeking a motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our Community Learning Disability Team in North Tyneside. You will join a multidisciplinary team including Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and other health professionals, providing services to adults and children with intellectual disabilities and related conditions.

The successful candidate will conduct assessments, interventions, and manage risks in the community, working with individuals, families, and carers to improve health and reduce challenging behaviors.

Detailed job description
Provide specialist psychological assessments and therapies for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Engage in research, audits, and supervise junior psychologists and trainees. Demonstrate compassionate leadership to foster a collaborative team environment.
Person specification
Experience
* Skills in complex psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention across diverse client groups.
Desirable
* Knowledge of specialised psychological therapies and assessment methods.
* Experience with behavioural assessments like La Vigna model.
Qualifications/Registration
* Doctoral qualification in clinical psychology accredited by BPS.
* Eligible for Chartered Clinical Psychologist status.
* Supervision and training experience.
