Job Description
We are seeking a highly accurate and organised Passive Fire Estimator to support our growing workload in fire stopping, fire doors, compartmentation, and associated passive fire protection works. You will play a key role in pricing new tenders, producing detailed estimates, and helping the business secure profitable and compliant projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Review drawings, specifications, surveys, and tender documents to prepare detailed estimates.
* Produce accurate take-offs for fire stopping, fire doors, cavity barriers, penetrations, and compartmentation works.
* Liaise with suppliers to gather competitive material prices and lead times.
* Work with subcontractors to obtain labour rates and evaluate quotations.
* Prepare clear, structured cost breakdowns and tender submissions.
* Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternative solutions.
* Attend pre-start meetings, site visits, or client briefings when required.
* Coordinate with contracts managers and project teams for smooth handovers.
* Maintain and update pricing databases, templates, and estimating systems.
* Support the business development team with budgets and early-stage pricing when needed.
