Job Title: Technical Director - Ecology
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 dependent on experience

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Technical Director - Ecology to lead and develop their established Scottish Ecology team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee diverse, large-scale projects with a focus on renewables. You will play a strategic leadership role within a respected consultancy operating across the full project lifecycle - from planning to construction and beyond.

Our client is a UK-based environmental consultancy and part of a prestigious global organisation. Their 20-strong Scottish Ecology team delivers complex, multidisciplinary projects focused on biodiversity and sustainable development. They are committed to innovative thinking, collaboration, and achieving outstanding environmental outcomes.
Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic and technical leadership to the Scottish Ecology team.
* Participate in the GB Senior Ecology Management Team, fostering an agile and inclusive business.
* Strengthen client relationships and expand into new markets.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
* Mentor and support junior team members to grow their careers.
* Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and champion continuous professional development.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven leadership skills with a collaborative and motivational approach.
* Strong client relationship management and commercial awareness.
* Robust project management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and quality control.
* Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale projects aligned with biodiversity and environmental policies.
* At least 10 years' consultancy experience in the UK market, preferably within Scotland.
* Master's degree in a relevant field.
* Full membership of CIEEM and eligibility for Chartership.
