Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Support Worker to join our team to support individuals in their own homes throughout the Staffordshire area. We have 4 supported living services each looking for team members to join. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those in their care.
Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Provide support with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
* Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver effective case management and support plans.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
* Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Administer first aid as required and respond to emergencies promptly.
* Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
Skills
* 1 year experience in a supported living environment is essential
* 1 year working with clients with learning disability's
* Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
* Due to the wide area covered we are currently only recruiting drivers
