Overview
The Planning and Transport Policy Service plays a key role in the delivery of the council s ambitions for growth and health and wellbeing, including leading on development plan policy; ensuring that the right land is provided in the right locations for homes and jobs, that environmental assets are protected and improved; and that development contributes to great places.
Responsibilities
This role, alongside its job share partner, is integral to the work of the Planning and Transport Policy teams, with a balance of regular and occasional tasks around the collation of robust evidence in spatial form and its presentation through mapping and other forms.
Requirements
* You will have a relevant level 4 qualification and knowledge and experience of operating Geographical Information Systems, ideally with familiarity of ESRI software.
* Good data handling skills including proficiency with MS Excel and experience with database management systems, data cleaning and data analysis.
* An ability to read maps and plans, to interpret data and carry out surveys to monitor site development; and excellent communication skills in written, spoken, graphic and multimedia form.

Salary: Grade 7, 16,298.50 - 18,181.50 per annum.
