Level 2 - Coating Inspector - North London
To support industrial coating quality control on new work scopes.
Working week: 77 to 42 hrs Rotation 11:3
Role specific responsibilities
* Inspection and Assessment:
* Conduct thorough inspections of coatings applied to various components, structural steel, pipes etc.
* Assess coating quality, adhesion, thickness, and overall condition.
* Identify and document any defects or non-conformities.
* Quality Control:
* Monitor and ensure compliance with standards and project specifications.
* Develop and implement quality control plans,
* Review and approve inspection reports,
* Documentation:
* Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and quality control measures.
* Technical Support:
* Provide technical guidance and support to project teams regarding coating selection, application methods, and quality control procedures.
* Assist in the resolution of coating-related issues and problems.
* Assist in the organisation of calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
* Training and Development:
* Participate in training programs to maintain and enhance certification and industry knowledge.
* Provide training and mentorship to junior inspectors or other team members.
* Job Specific Education Required:
* NACE Level 2 (or equivalent) Coating Inspector certification
Work Experience Required:
* Proven experience in the inspection of coatings.
* Expected to apply systems when required

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

The requirement to travel % of time:
* Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Experience:
* coating Inspection: 2 years (required)
* Industrial coating: 4 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
* CCNSG Safety Passport (required)
* SSSTS (preferred)
* IOSH Managing Safely (preferred)
* NEBOSH (preferred)
* CCNSG with Supervisor Module (preferred)
* SMSTS (preferred)
* CSCS to the appropriate category for the trade (preferred)
* NPORS (preferred)
* SOLAS Safe Pass (preferred)
* CISRS Certification (preferred)
