Remote role - 2 days from home vs 3 days from various sites in the South West region
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
An established and respected provider of machinery safety training is experiencing rapid growth and is expanding its training team. We are recruiting a Machinery Safety Trainer to deliver bespoke machinery safety training to clients in the South of England. Delivering high-quality machinery safety training to clients across the Manufacturing sector throughout the UK, with plans for continued global growth.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and confident trainer - the rest they can train!
Higher salaries available for candidates with a strong background in machinery safety, ideally with solid PUWER or CE knowledge. You will be comfortable delivering technical training to a wide range of audiences and environments and have hands-on experience of machinery safety legislation and best practice.
The perfect candidate will have the above plus you will have experience delivering Functional Safety training and come from a mechanical or electrical engineering background. Holding CEFS or FSENG certification would be highly desirable, although this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities for this training role
Deliver bespoke machinery safety training courses, including PUWER, CE marking and Functional Safety
Support the development, review and adaptation of training materials for existing and new courses
Manage delegate and course information using the Training Management System
Examine and assess delegates, recording results with relevant awarding bodies
Carry out Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities to ensure consistency and quality across training delivery
Maintain current knowledge of machinery safety legislation, standards and best practice
Work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider training team
Deliver training in a variety of industrial environments (appropriate PPE/RPE provided)
Skills & Experience
Experience delivering training across a range of industries
Strong knowledge of PUWER, CE marking and Functional Safety
Ability to develop and maintain technical training content and materials
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confident using Microsoft Office and training management systems
Flexible approach to travel and client requirements
Qualifications
Not essential, as full training will be provided. However, the following would be advantageous:
Teaching or assessing qualifications (e.g. AET, CAVA, TAQA, PTLLS or equivalent)
CEFS or FSENG certification
Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, NVQs)
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications (apprenticeship, HNC or degree level)
Machinery safety qualifications (e.g. CMSE)
Desirable Knowledge
UK and European machinery safety legislation and regulations
Machinery risk assessment standards (e.g. EN ISO 12100)
Functional safety and control systems
Machinery and electrical installations
Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
