Job Title: Environmental Monitoring Technician
Location: North England & Midlands (travel required; head office in Warrington)
Salary: £28,000 £32,000 per annum plus company vehicle for business travel
Contract: Permanent Full time
About the Role Were looking for an Environmental Monitoring Technician to join a fast-growing organisation operating across the minerals, aggregates recycling, waste management, and landfill sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in environmental compliance and sustainability.
In this role, youll carry out environmental monitoring, materials sampling, and laboratory analysis, ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility.
What Were Looking For A proactive individual with a genuine interest in environmental management
Adaptable, motivated, and eager to learn
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Confident using IT systems (MS Office suite)
Key Responsibilities Conduct environmental monitoring (groundwater, landfill gas, surface water) across multiple sites
Perform weekly sampling of imported soils at operational locations
Liaise with laboratories to manage sample logistics and results
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for stakeholders and regulators
Analyse and clearly communicate laboratory findings
