Teaching Assistant Position – Year 6 Class
Primary School in WN2 – Start Date: January 2026
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a friendly and supportive primary school in the WN2 area who are looking to appoint a Year 6 Teaching Assistant from January 2026. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping pupils grow in confidence, develop key skills and feel fully prepared for their move to secondary school.
Role Responsibilities:
* Provide daily support within the Year 6 classroom.
* Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
* Assist pupils with revision, preparation and general curriculum support throughout the year.
* Help the class teacher with resources, classroom organisation and lesson activities.
* Encourage positive behaviour and promote a calm, purposeful learning environment.
The School Is Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience working with children (school-based experience preferred).
* Has a strong understanding of the needs of upper KS2 learners.
* Can communicate clearly and build strong relationships with pupils.
* Is patient, reliable and able to use their initiative.
* Is committed to helping children achieve their best.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
