An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and innovative Progression Coach to join the Empowering Futures team at the Chesterfield College Group.
At Empowering Futures, we are committed to reducing non-employment rates and increasing opportunities for young people by matching them with suitable employers through our dedicated recruitment services. This role is central to connecting individuals with meaningful work experiences, including internships, apprenticeships, and job fairs. You will play an active part in identifying challenges young people face in securing employment, supporting them with tailored training opportunities, and helping them overcome barriers to achieve positive outcomes.
A key aspect of this role involves guiding young people along clear educational and career pathways. You will provide one-to-one mentoring and coaching to help individuals explore options such as vocational training, further education, or apprenticeships, and assist with applications and funding. Your support will be instrumental in helping clients develop both essential and industry-relevant skills, including digital and green competencies. We also operate a drop-in centre, ensuring inclusive access to digital tools, resources, and practical advice.
You will design and deliver engaging employability workshops, covering CV writing, interview techniques, job searching, communication skills, and workplace etiquette. As part of our holistic approach, you will also promote wellbeing and resilience, supporting individuals to develop confidence and soft skills. Your work will be underpinned by our integrated support hub, which brings together local businesses, education providers, community organisations, and statutory services to offer comprehensive guidance.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive in outreach, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring. You’ll build strong links with employers to develop work placement and job opportunities, while also tracking and reporting progress against key performance indicators.
