Job Description
Key Responsibilities
3. Support service availability including assistance during major incidents
4. Support resolution of high-impact or complex technical issues, including out-of-hours support
5. Drive escalation tickets to resolution in a timely manner
6. Provide technical input and support for internal and external project delivery.
7. Ensure a security focused approach is embedded in solution design and daily operations.
8. Deliver vulnerability and patch management across infrastructure, performing preventative maintenance
9. Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure
10. Contribute to IT governance across technology, services, processes, and information security.
11. Support audit and compliance activities, including Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI-DSS, ensuring adherence to IT controls
12. Operate within ITIL frameworks, supporting change, incident, and problem management.
13. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of infrastructure technologies and industry trends.
The Successful Applicant
Skills & ExperienceEssential: (The text in bold is essential for this role)
14. Strong expertise in Windows Server \ Desktop platforms
15. Experience scripting in PowerShell or similar
16. Citrix (AppLayering \ DaaS \ VDI's \ Netscaler Load balancer)
17. Experience with VMware (ESXi \ vCenter \ vSAN)
18. Microsoft Exchange (2016/2019 Hybrid), Office 365
19. Worked with Dell Servers & Blade hardware (Dell OME \ iDRAC)
20. NetApp SAN storage or similar
21. Backup Management
22. Active Directory (Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Hardening) \ Azure Entra AD
23. Windows/SQL clustering with exposure to Always On configuration
24. Strong documentation and communication skills
25. Understanding of ITIL processes and service management
Desirable:
26. Veeam backup solutions
27. Hyper Converged Infrastructure (VxRail, NSX, Aria Operations for Networks \ Logs)
28. Azure administration (servers, storage, networking, Intune)
29. Linux Administration
30. Monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG)
31. Ivanti patching and deployment
