Job Summary
Please note this post is temporary to cover maternity leave for six months or until the current post holder returns.
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced social worker to join the East Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership’s Adult West Team.
The temporary post providing maternity leave cover is based within the Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre.
The Adult West Team is a locality-based social work team, providing social work services to adults within East Dunbartonshire, including older people and adults with physical disabilities. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in undertaking needs-led assessments, devising interventions while responding to and managing risk, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland
The following criteria apply to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential:
Successful candidates for Regulated Roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary payment, or in some cases, in installments after employment begins, with approval from HR & OD. If employment ends before deduction, the full amount will be deducted from the final salary.
This applies to existing employees applying for roles requiring PVG/Disclosure checks.
