Role Overview
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital’s team of Senior Midwifery Care Assistants is expanding. We are seeking applications from maternity care assistants with recent experience to join the team as Band 3 Senior Midwifery Care Assistant in a rotational role—working within both a hospital and community setting.
Responsibilities
* Under the direction of the Registered Midwife, work with all members of the multidisciplinary team to provide the highest standards of patient care within maternity services.
* Act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH’s PRIDE values (People focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity and Excellence).
Work Environment
Provides care for approximately 5,000 deliveries per year, including community‑based midwifery services, an Out Patient Department, and in‑patient facilities. On site has 32 postnatal beds, 5 transitional care beds, 13 antenatal beds, 13 birthing rooms, a birthing pool, 2 obstetric theatres, anaesthetic and recovery rooms for high‑dependency care, a Maternity Triage, and a Midwifery‑Led Birthing Unit with water‑birth facilities.
