Job Title: Senior Hardware Engineer
Salary: up to £50,000 per annum dependent upon experience
We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Senior Hardware Engineer. The role will be based in Rochester, Kent and offers the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible hours. Individual circumstances can be discussed.

As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to formulate and optimise innovative hardware engineering solutions for products such as Helmet Mounted & Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Controls, Active Inceptors, and other safety-critical technology.
This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects within a diverse, experienced team, with opportunities for career progression in the industry.
Main Responsibilities:
* Execute complex hardware design tasks in line with the hardware development plan, ensuring timely delivery within budgets.
* Conduct hardware requirements capture, preliminary and detailed design, including analysis tasks.
* Coach and develop junior team members.
* Deliver design artefacts adhering to company and industry standards.
* Collaborate with other disciplines within an integrated team.
* Possess people management responsibilities in this role.

About You:
* Degree/HND in electronics engineering or equivalent
* Proven experience in digital and/or analogue electronics technologies
* Experience across the engineering development lifecycle, from concept to certification
* Good understanding of cost and schedule constraints
* Excellent communication skills, articulate and inquisitive mindset
* Experience with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise, Simetrix or Spice, Enterprise Architect, Matlab, Simulink
Eligibility:
You must be eligible for SC clearance, hold a British passport, and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years.
