Position: Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School, North Tyneside
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 4 PM
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children?
We’re looking for a kind, enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a welcoming North Tyneside primary school. You’ll work alongside a teacher and TA, supporting a small group of 5–6 amazing pupils in EYFS and KS1, including 2 children with Down syndrome and 3 with Autism.
This is a fantastic opportunity to create a positive, playful learning environment where every child feels valued, encouraged, and inspired to grow.
What You’ll Do:
1. Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with SEND
2. Work closely with the teacher/TA team to deliver engaging, play-based activities
3. Support communication, social skills, and independence in pupils
4. Help create a calm, nurturing, and structured classroom environment
5. Collaborate with staff and external specialists to meet individual needs
