Electrical Manager - Renewable Energy & Solar PV

Our client, a fast-growing clean-energy specialist, is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to head up electrical operations, guide a skilled engineering team, and drive the rollout of sustainable power solutions across commercial installations.

What You'll Do
* Lead and develop a team of engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors
* Manage electrical installation, testing, and commissioning for Solar PV and battery storage systems
* Oversee electrical design and ensure compliance with BS 7671, G99, IEC and CDM regulations
* Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits
* Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure on‑time delivery
* Interface with DNOs/ICPs and support grid connection applications
* Review schematics, system layouts, load calculations, and protection designs
* Provide technical support on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
* Manage O&M activities for installed assets
* Review power system studies (earthing, fault levels, harmonics)
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in an electrical management or senior electrical engineering role
* Strong understanding of electrical design, system integration, and UK electrical regulations
* Knowledge of Solar PV, battery storage, and grid connection standards (G99/G100)
* Proficiency with design tools (AutoCAD, PV*Sol, Amtech or similar software)
* Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM practices
* Relevant electrical qualifications including18th EditionandC&G 2391
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Full UK driving licence
