Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12-month fixed-term contract as a senior clinical fellow in ENT Head and Neck.
The department offers one-stop diagnostic clinics in collaboration with Radiology, Cellular Pathology, and Endocrinology. Annually, over 100 thyroid and parathyroid operations are performed, supported by intraoperative rapid parathyroid hormone testing and nerve testing. The ENT clinic at Kingston Hospital is equipped with advanced ultrasound machines, and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn and perform head and neck ultrasound as part of clinical assessments or diagnostics. Cone Beam CT scanning is also available onsite.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide advice and treatment where appropriate.
2. Help develop the service in accordance with Trust policy.
3. Teach, train, and supervise postgraduate trainees as appropriate.
4. Demonstrate professional excellence and deliver efficient care in line with clinical caseload.
5. Attend clinics for the non-surgical and surgical (re)treatment of Tier 3 complex endodontic cases.
6. Assist colleagues in educating general dental practitioners and providing advice.

Education/Qualifications (Essential):
* Full GMC registration and Licence to Practice
* MRCS or equivalent
* FRCS (ORL-HNS)

Clinical Experience (Essential):
* Senior trainees (Post CCT or final year)
* Ability to handle ENT and Head & Neck emergencies
