Training Programme Director for Intensive Care Medicine
We are looking to recruit the post of Intensive Care Medicine Training Programme Director.
All applicants must already work within Intensive Care Medicine in a Thames Valley Trust.
This role is for 5 hours per week and offers £12,500 per annum.
The Training Programme Director works with the Head of School to deliver functions aligned with the NHS England mandate.
Note: NHSE is expected to merge into DHSC by 30/09/2026, with extensions and new appointments only guaranteed until then. Further arrangements will be made post-merger, and updates will be provided as available.
Main duties
The Director is accountable to the Head of School, focusing on improving learner supervision, assessment, engagement, and educational outcomes. The role includes workforce transformation and developing multi-professional links.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend at least 40% of their time working in person.
Successful candidates will undergo an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via ESR, which includes gathering information from previous NHS employment. You may decline participation at any point during the process.

Qualifications and Training
* Primary clinical healthcare qualification
* Membership/Fellowship of a relevant College or professional body
* Current Consultant in the specialty
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
Salary depends on experience, in line with TPD sessional payments.
