SEN Teaching Assistants Required – CA17 | Exclusive to Teaching Personnel
Location: CA17 Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until the end of the academic year Positions Available: Full-Time & Part-Time
Teaching Personnel are proud to be working exclusively with a small, welcoming primary school in CA17, who have approached us directly to support them in appointing two dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for the remainder of the academic year.
These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a meaningful impact on pupils who require additional support.
The Roles AvailablePosition 1: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (Year 1)
* Full-time role (Monday–Friday)
* Providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 1 with additional needs
You will play a key role in supporting early learning development, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the pupil can access the curriculum and thrive within the classroom environment.
Position 2: Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (Year 6)
* Part-time hours (flexible, to be confirmed)
* Providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 6
This role focuses on supporting a pupil in upper key stage 2, helping to build confidence, engagement, and academic progress as they approach transition into secondary education.
Key Responsibilities (Both Roles):
* Deliver tailored 1:1 support to pupils with SEN
* Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning needs
* Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCO
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or school setting
* Be patient, nurturing, and resilient
* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Be proactive and able to use their initiative
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
