Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer | Hybrid (Essex)
We’re seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technical delivery team, supporting a range of cloud transformation and infrastructure projects across the South East.
This is a hybrid position, combining home working with time in the office and at client sites — so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
Ideal for someone with MSP or consultancy experience, this role suits an engineer who thrives in a hands-on, project-led environment — delivering cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and network deployments across diverse customer environments.
The Role
As a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering end-to-end infrastructure and cloud solutions. From scoping and planning through to build, migration, and client handover, you’ll ensure every project is delivered to a high technical standard.
You’ll collaborate closely with consultants, project managers, and engineering teams to design and implement secure, scalable environments across both on-premises and cloud platforms.
Key project areas include:
* Planning and delivering Azure and Microsoft 365 migrations for SME and enterprise clients
* Configuring and deploying virtual servers, firewalls, and core networking components
* Supporting hybrid and on-prem infrastructure, ensuring resilience and security best practice
* Troubleshooting networking, connectivity, and performance issues across client environments
* Acting as a technical lead on-site, liaising directly with customers to scope requirements and ensure smooth delivery
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings a balance of hands-on technical ability, client-facing confidence, and a proactive approach to delivery.
You’ll have:
* Proven experience delivering infrastructure and cloud projects end-to-end
* Strong technical skills in Azure, Microsoft 365, and virtualisation platforms
* Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, routing, and hybrid environments
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills — comfortable engaging with clients at all levels
* A full UK driving licence and car, with willingness to travel to client sites as required
* Background in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or consultancy environment (highly desirable)
What’s on Offer
* Salary up to £60,000, depending on experience
* Hybrid working – mix of home, office, and client site work
* Ongoing training and certification support (Microsoft, Azure, etc.)
* A collaborative culture focused on quality, learning, and innovation
* Private healthcare, pension, and mileage allowance for travel
If you’re an experienced cloud or infrastructure engineer who enjoys delivering complex projects and working directly with clients, this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking IT solutions provider delivering transformative technology across the UK.
