Training Officer
Salary: £32,312 - £34,092 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time (37hrs/week, Mon-Fri)
Location: Welwyn Garden City (Hybrid)

Role Overview
Training Officer for school feeding contractor, developing and delivering training programs across Hertfordshire and expanding regions. Focus on food safety, allergen management, and mobilising new contracts.
Key Responsibilities
* Training Delivery: Plan and conduct on-the-job training, inductions, and mobilisation training
* Gap Analysis: Identify skill gaps and create targeted training courses
* Quality Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety, health & safety, and quality standards
* Workshop Development: Create practical and theory-based training sessions
* Audit Support: Review training kitchens and maintain quality systems
* Apprenticeship Programs: Support work experience and government initiatives
Essential Requirements
Qualifications:
* Level 3 Food safety.
* Level 4 Advanced Food Safety.
* Level 3 Health and Safety.
* Level 3 MHFA (preferable).
* Level 3 Allergy Management.
* Level 3 Delivering Training Award.
* Level 3 Project Management.
* Level 3 Effective Auditing & Inspection.
* Highfield accredited trainer and member.
Experience:
* Contract mobilisation and training
* Accredited food hygiene/allergy training delivery
* Multi-site operations
* Report writing and compliance documentation
Skills:
* Strong communication and influence
* Own vehicle/willingness to travel
* Proficient in MS Office, Power BI, LMS systems
* HACCP and Food Safety Management Systems knowledge
