Research Assistant/Associate (Fixed Term)
Fixed-term: The post is available for two years in the first instance starting 15 January 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter and subject to a 6-month probationary period.
A post‑doctoral position funded by the European Research Council (ERC‑CoG) is available in the Department of Pathology working within the laboratory of Prof. Christina Zielinski, to undertake a research project investigating the regulation of human tissue resident T cells (Trm).
Responsibilities
* Develop and drive research objectives and write up work for presentation and publication.
* Conduct experiments in human T cell culture, flow cytometry and molecular biology.
* Analyse scRNAseq data and high‑dimensional flow cytometric data.
* Work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
Qualifications
* PhD in immunology, molecular and cellular biology or related field, or submitted PhD thesis by start of appointment.
* Track record of success in immunology and/or molecular and cellular biology research.
* Significant experience in human T cell culture, flow cytometry and molecular biology.
* Solid experience in bioinformatic analysis of scRNAseq data and high‑dimensional flow cytometric data (advantage).
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
