Administration Assistant - Armagh (Health & Safety and Fire Safety) This is an excellent opportunity to join the Southern Health & Social Care Trust as an Administration Assistant, supporting the Fire Safety and Health & Safety function in Armagh. The role focuses on providing efficient, accurate administrative support to help deliver a high-quality service in line with Trust policies, procedures, and safety standards. About this role:
1. £12.31 per hour
2. Location: St Luke’s Hospital - Armagh
3. Monday to Friday - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
4. 37.5 hours per week
5. Temporary until 30/03/2026
What you'll need for this role:
6. Responsible for providing a full range of administrative support to the Fire Safety and Health & Safety Managers.
7. Responsible for maintaining, updating and filing departmental records.
8. Prepare high quality presentations for the Health & Safety and Fire Safety Managers and senior staff.
9. Preparing standard letters and memorandum for signature by senior staff.
10. Dealing with routine health & safety and fire safety enquiries (e.g. by telephone, e-mail, face to face) from members of staff and external agencies and re-routing those which require knowledge of regulations and procedures to the appropriate person.
11. Organising meetings including arranging venues, equipment and provisions and assisting in the preparation of the agenda.
12. Assisting in the compiling of papers for attendance at meetings and ensuring appropriate distribution of same.
What you'll need for this role:
13. Experience in the use of Microsoft office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
14. 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language and Maths or equivalent / higher qualification AND 1 years’ experience in a clerical / administrative role. OR,
15. 2 years’ experience in a clerical / administrative role.
16. Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
17. (This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust, which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.)
