Seamstress/Tailor wanted to join established UK business The ZipYard.
With 53 retail shops in the UK & Ireland - The ZipYard is the leading clothing alterations business on the high street.
The ZipYard is is looking for full and part-time seamstresses or tailors at various locations across the UK.

You will have face to face contact with customers, dealing with their specific requirements, liaising with the customer with regard to alterations or repair requirements providing excellent customer service. You will undertake seamstress / tailoring work in the shop and will allocate work within the team. You will manage the overall workload ensuring customer required by dates are met. You will ensure quality standards are maintained.
You'll need to be an 'all rounder' with your seamstress / tailoring skills and you'll have to meet specific time frames and be able to produce a high quality of work.
Hours are flexible. We are looking for full-time and part-time permanent staff members. Saturdays may be a requirement.
Specific skill requirements include;
-Proficient in using industrial sewing machines
-Trouser & skirt shortening ability
-Jacket sleeves shortening
-Trouser tapering
-Waist alterations
-Advanced skills would be advantageous such as:
-Dress reshaping
-Re-positioning of zip
-Re-lining of Jacket or coat
-Evening dress alteration (take in sides, move straps, shorten with vent) Working with Leather

Pay: £13.50 and above per hour depending on experience and output / quality of work.
