About the Role
As Teacher of English, you will teach across KS3–KS5 (depending on experience and timetable), delivering ambitious and well-structured lessons that develop confident readers, thoughtful critics and fluent writers. You will support pupils to:
* Read widely and respond to texts with depth and independence
* Write with clarity, structure and academic precision
* Develop confident oracy through discussion, debate and presentation
* Build strong exam technique through modelling, practice and feedback
The Department
English is a central subject within the school, with a strong focus on literature, language, writing and reading culture. The department is collaborative and well resourced, with shared planning and a commitment to high outcomes and wider enrichment such as theatre trips, reading programmes or writing opportunities.
