Job Description
Were looking for a skilled Inspection / CMM Programmer to join our quality team, working on high-performance components including products within our F1 range. This hands-on role is key to ensuring the highest standards of dimensional accuracy, quality, and documentation throughout the inspection process.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out general inspection duties as directed by the Principal Inspector and as detailed on Product Inspection Requests (PIRs)Verify supplier ISIRs (Initial Sample Inspection Reports), including dimensional, material, or process-related checksLiaise with Engineering, SQA, and Quality teams to resolve product or supplier issuesRead and interpret engineering drawings to create ISIR documentationUse hand measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and shadowgraphsProgram CMM machines (Calypso or PC-DMIS software preferred) for F1 product inspectionsSupport the use of 3D scanning and surface finish equipment (experience desirable but not essential)Maintain accurate and timely inspection records and documentationUphold high standards of housekeeping and contribute to continuous improvement across the businessSupport other teams with measurement or quality-related issues as requiredAbout YouProven experience in an inspection or quality control role within precision engineering or automotive/manufacturingStrong CMM programming skills ( Calypso or PC-DMIS ideal)Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawingsHands-on experience with manual measurement toolsGood communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionallyKnowledge or experience of working with F1 or motorsport components is advantageousWhat We Offer£33per hour LTD (Outside IR35)Opportunity to work on world-class, high-performance engineering projectsSupportive, collaborative team environmentOngoing professional development and trainingIf youre a detail-oriented Inspector or CMM Programmer with a passion for precision and quality, wed love to hear from you.G&P is a world-leading quality management services provider, supporting manufacturers in the automotive, defence, aerospace and industrial sectors, and their associated supply chains, to transform quality and efficiency levels.With over 30 years of experience, we provide tailored solutions through senior management support and expert personnel from our dedicated talent division.
