Overview
Consultant Psychiatrist - Perinatal Psychiatry, Central Lancashire (9PA). This post is substantive and part time (9PA), to be worked over 5 days. Based at Leyland House, Leyland. The postholder may join the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration would be paid. The role is part of the Community Perinatal Mental Health service for Central and West Lancashire.
We are seeking to recruit to a substantive role following the departure of the previous post-holder. The Perinatal CMHT is part of a broader investment in perinatal services and includes a Specialist Perinatal service within Lancashire and South Cumbria.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Perinatal CMHT as clinical leader, supported by Operational Leads.
* Prioritise women based on clinical need and ensure recommended timeframes are met.
* Contribute to the assessment, formulation and management of cases.
* Carry a caseload of patients with complex care needs and those presenting with increased risk in the perinatal period.
* Work with the Perinatal CMHT to follow referral procedures (including online referrals) and participate in the duty system.
Qualifications and Experience
* MBBS or equivalent
* Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
* On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months at interview date
* Section 12 approved
* AC status or within 6 months at interview date
* Knowledge, skills and experience relevant to this role
Employment Details
* Pay: £109,725 to £145,478 per annum (pro-rata) as per the New Consultant Contract
