Rejen Architects is a design-focused architecture practice passionate about breathing new life into buildings and places. Our work spans hospitality, workplace, high-end residential, and healthcare sectors, and we specialise in heritage and regeneration.
Due to an expanding workload across Ireland and the UK, we are looking for a recently qualified architect to join our growing Belfast studio. This will be someone who is talented, focused, ambitious, curious, and ready to become a key part of the Rejen team as we design and deliver projects across Ireland and the UK.
What you’ll be doing
You will work closely with the Project Director, supporting the design development and delivery of projects at a range of scales across all RIBA Work Stages.
This will include:
* Working on feasibility studies, concept design, planning applications, and design development packages
* Producing high-quality drawings and visual material using freehand sketching, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, and various emerging AI applications and workflows
* Supporting heritage, conservation-led, and contemporary design projects through research, sensitive design, and construction detailing
* Preparing high-quality tender and construction drawings and specifications
* Performing the role of Project Architect as projects move from detailed design to on-site construction, contract administration, and delivery
* Preparing client presentations and participating in design reviews and internal crits
* Visiting sites, conducting surveys and inspections, and coordinating and managing design teams
* Participating in practice-wide continuous improvement, helping to refine workflows and utilise emerging AI applications
* Travelling to sites in NI, ROI, and GB as required
This is a new and growing practice environment where you’ll be mentored, stretched, trusted with responsibility, and exposed to real-world project delivery early.
Who we’re looking for
* ARB / RIBA or RIAI recently (or soon-to-be) registered architect with up to 3 years’ post-Part 3 experience
* Excellent design skills at both conceptual and technical levels
* Passionate about contemporary design, adaptive reuse, heritage, and sustainable design (Passivhaus or similar an advantage)
* Strong freehand drawing skills and a high standard of proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and emerging AI applications
* Good technical awareness and interest in how building elements come together, with both curiosity and commitment to develop detailing skills and construction knowledge
* Excellent communication, organisation, and presentation skills – visual, verbal and interpersonal
* Ability to manage your own time and workload while supporting junior team members and contributing effectively to the wider team
* A full driving licence and access to transport will be required for occasional site work.
At Rejen, you will be joining an ambitious studio with a clear long-term vision to become a leading practice in Ireland and the UK for breathing new life into old buildings and places.
You’ll benefit from:
* A competitive salary of £30,000–£35,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
* 20 days’ annual leave + statutory holidays (increasing by 1 day per year of service up to 25 days)
* Hybrid / flexible working in tandem with dedicated studio time
* ARB or RIAI professional subscription fees covered
* Discretionary profit-share bonus scheme (related to individual and practice performance)
* Excellent career progression potential as the practice grows
* Financial and time support for continued professional development and training
* Workplace pension scheme
If you want to develop fast, contribute meaningfully, and help shape unique projects we’d love to hear from you.
