This is a rare and sought-after opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic Occupational Therapy Team as an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor
As a Band 4 Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor you will have the chance to be part of delivering a quality service under the supervision and guidance of qualified therapists and alongside an established team. You will need to have an enthusiastic and hard-working approach, be passionate about quality patient care, have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to work across the team sites, providing service to several wards.
Successful applicants will have clinical supervision, support to gain an Agored Occupational Therapy Diploma to encourage self-development and role skill set, and also in-service training. This is a rewarding and dynamic role and can be the stepping stone to further career development.
The team provides service wide care to support service user' occupational function in line with recovery principles and practice. Applications are welcome from creative and highly motivated people who would like to join a highly valued Occupational Therapy Team in this health board.
We are in a position to offer this post at part time/flexible hours which can be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Main duties of the job
1. The post holder is responsible for the provision of assessment, treatment, and intervention and expected to contribute to the safe and meaningful discharge plan, alongside a supportive multi-disciplinary team, using the MOHO model of practice.
2. Use technical and creative skills to assist in the provision of therapeutic occupations for individuals and groups of patients
3. Responsible for the prioritisation of tasks
4. Works on multiple sites including community, patients homes and third sector services
