Additional Learning Support Advisor
Location: Central Bedfordshire College – Dunstable Kingsway Campus
Salary: £27,717 – £32,515 per annum (pro rata) based on experience and qualifications. Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Contract: Permanent – Term Time.
About the Role
As an Additional Learning Support Advisor, you will support students with SEND by:
* Developing and implementing individual support plans and mentoring strategies.
* Collaborating with curriculum teams to integrate inclusive practices.
* Conducting classroom observations and maintaining compliance with SEND procedures.
* Providing advice on safeguarding, equality, and inclusion, and participating in training.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 2 in Maths and English; Level 3 qualification or willingness to achieve.
* Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice (2014) and safeguarding.
* Experience supporting young people with SEND in further education settings and liaising with external agencies.
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office and IT systems; ability to produce reports and support documents.
* Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change.
* Positive, adaptable attitude with commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries, willingness to travel across sites.
