The Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will support the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) projects by maintaining accurate Estimate At Completion data, reflecting costs and expected savings. You will assist the Transformation team with benefits submissions and support the Head of Finance in keeping financial documents up to date. Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing and enhancing reporting and financial management for key contracts to support strategic KPI delivery.
2. Driving improvements in finance processes and resource utilization.
3. Creating reporting frameworks to monitor contract performance and comparing outcomes against expectations.
4. Enhancing understanding of contract KPIs across the business to inform decision-making.
5. Building strategic relationships with HoDs to ensure operational and business needs are met.
This is a full-time role, requiring 37 hours per week, with regular travel to Clyde and flexible home working arrangements. Agile and flexible working options, including part-time and job sharing, are considered. Please discuss alternative work patterns during the interview process.
Essential Experience
* Strong customer management and influencing skills.
* Experience in large, complex organizations is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in complex finance procedures, with the ability to simplify processes.
* Operational knowledge is advantageous, especially relating finance to broader business contexts.
* Background in project accounting, preferably with exposure to the construction industry.
Qualifications
You must hold or be working towards a recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent.
