Due to a retirement, we are seeking a Lead Officer to join our Talent Management team within HR.

Base pay range
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 36 hours per week (weekdays)
Location: Fife House, Glenrothes with the option of a blended home working arrangement
Responsibilities
* Our corporate responsibilities span the employee journey and include recruitment, onboarding, retention and workforce planning and we play a key role in attracting, supporting and developing our young workforce.
* Our project work has a corporate focus, involves extensive partnership working and requires a balance of creativity and attention to detail to ensure work fits with organisation and service needs.
* Corporately, the team play a key role in ensuring legislative compliance. This includes Home Office sponsorship and right to work, PVG scheme membership and regulatory body requirements.
* You will supervise, direct and support team members as they carry out their roles.
* Data and insights drive our work, and our approach is evidence-based.

The Person We’re Looking For
As our Lead Officer, you’ll take the lead on complex projects and business as usual work related to resourcing or strategic workforce planning and manage a small team. You must have:
* A Degree and full membership of a relevant professional institute, for example CIPD chartered membership.
* A proven track record in resourcing and talent management working at an organisational level, ideally in a large organisation.
* Experience in taking the lead on projects while also dealing with a range of other work priorities, often linked to legislative requirements.
* Experience inspiring your team and colleagues to get great results.
* Good knowledge of relevant legislation and how to put changes into practice.
* Strong communication skills (both written and spoken) and the confidence to influence and challenge when needed.
* The ability to build strong relationships at all levels, inside and outside the organisation.
* Excellent digital, data, and analytical skills, plus experience using evidence to shape people solutions.
* A self-starter attitude, with a passion for talent management and making a difference.
As a progressive employer, we offer the opportunity to work in this role as a “blended working” arrangement with home-working opportunities and occasional office-working as required. While the significant part of the role can and will be carried out remotely, candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required.
