Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming College environment.
Who You Are You are an experienced senior security, risk or resilience professional with the credibility to advise at leadership level and the practical judgement to support operational teams when needed.
You bring significant experience of developing security strategies, managing risk, overseeing complex incidents and improving security arrangements in a multi-site or complex environment. You understand physical security systems, emergency planning, business continuity, safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and partnership working.
Analytical, calm under pressure and confident in your decision making, you communicate clearly, influence effectively and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, operational colleagues and external agencies. You are professionally credible, highly organised and committed to creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming College environment for all.
Equality and Diversity We are proud of our inclusive, diverse community and have a zero‑tolerance approach to racism and discrimination. We actively welcome applications from candidates from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, all staff will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, along with a check of the Children’s Barred List if engaged in regulated activity. Any offers of appointment may be withdrawn if these checks prove unsatisfactory. Self‑disclosure will be required as part of the recruitment process.
