Overview
Our client is looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work full time at a special school in Redbridge. The school supports pupils with complex needs, including SLD, ASD and pupils with PMLD.
Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND within a special school setting.
* Support inclusion and safeguarding practices in line with school policies.
* Assist class teachers with planning, resource preparation, and delivery of learning activities.
* Support pupils with their social, emotional and physical needs as appropriate.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Previous experience working with SEND is essential.
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Willingness to attend a face-to-face interview if required.
Additional information
Temporary position unless stated otherwise. A current DBS check is required, or you must be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf, in line with DfE guidelines. The role involves working with children or vulnerable adults and may be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 depending on the post.
