Commercial Finance Analyst
1x Permanent Opportunity
Location: Witham (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home)
Salary: A competitive salary from £31,440 - £47,160, depending on the experience you can bring

Reporting to our Cost Management and Analysis Business Partner, as the Commercial Finance Analyst you will play a vital part in taking responsibility and ownership for the oversight of all financial planning, reporting and analysis for certain functions/areas of Aegon UK.
Key tasks will involve but will not be limited to:
* Support and analysis across month end tasks, budgeting and forecast, business partnering, reporting output, analysis, capturing threats and opportunities.
* Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders and executives on costs within the business will give you a great opportunity to shine and support Aegon with achieving our Finance goals.
You'll be responsible for working with the business and business partners to monitor and analyse financial performance, utilising your analytical skills to identify opportunities and threats and working with the business to try and embed such opportunities or mitigate impacts.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Strong management accounts background
* Underlying knowledge and detail of month end and associated reporting and journals I.e., variance analysis, rolling forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities within cost centres/areas of the business, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations etc
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
* The ability to work autonomously but be equally comfortable with collaborating with teams and colleagues at all levels
* Interpersonal skills - You'll boast fantastic communication skills both in writing and verbally and be capable of explaining complex information in an easy-to-understand way
It'd also be great - but not essential - if you've got:
* Hold either an ACA, AAT, ACCA or CIMA Qualification or working towards this currently
