We are seeking Clinical Psychologists to join our child and families community team in North and East Dorset.
In Dorset, we are transforming our child and adolescent mental health service into a Family Mental Health model aligned with the Thrive framework. Our community teams provide support within the Getting More Help and Getting Risk Support quadrants of Thrive, and also offer consultancy support to the Getting Help teams.
Our goal is to deliver a service rooted in compassion, social connection, and participation, working in partnership with education, social care, and third sector services to meet families' needs.
Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will fund. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid certificate instead of a new check.
Applicants needing current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible.
There is an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary therapies team alongside Occupational Therapists, neurodevelopmental workers, Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, and Psychiatrists.
The role involves working directly with young people and their families, conducting assessments, providing therapeutic interventions, and offering consultation and training to ensure psychological principles are integrated into service delivery.
Supervision from a Clinical Lead Psychologist will be provided, along with relevant training. We support recent graduates and offer a clear pathway to progression to Band 8a upon meeting competencies.
Dorset HealthCare is committed to delivering outstanding healthcare, with a reputation for excellence and inclusivity. We serve a diverse population of nearly 800,000 across various settings, fostering a workplace that values diversity, equal opportunities, and staff development.
Join our team to challenge yourself, develop your career, and contribute to our mission of continuous improvement through excellence, compassion, and expertise.
