We are looking for a proactive, solutions-focused Real Estate Compliance & Risk Support Solicitor to join our dynamic Real Estate department. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our compliance standards and supporting our fee earners with high-risk and technical matters.
This role involves working closely with our leadership team, supporting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, and assisting with technical queries from our Post Completions team.
Responsibilities
* Assist fee earning teams with technical queries and high risk files, providing effective supervision of high risk files.
* Work with Line Managers to ensure processes manage risk while facilitating smooth and efficient high risk file management.
* Ensure accurate and consistent implementation of compliance and risk management procedures.
* Collaborate with colleagues to facilitate smooth file management in line with risk procedures.
* Assist in substantive file reviews on schedule.
* Identify, manage, reduce, and where possible, eliminate risks in the department.
* Maintain good working relationships with fee earning staff.
* Escalate issues when necessary.
Supporting AML Queries
* Assist fee earning teams with interpretation of AML regulations and internal AML Risk Policy.
* Collaborate with line managers to refine processes ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
Supporting Post Completions
* Provide guidance on technical queries and responses to Land Registry requisitions.
* Support workload monitoring and key date tracking for Post Completions.
