Scully UK Ltd, based in Winsford, Cheshire is a small division of an International Company, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our small team, with positive mind-set who has strong skills to assist us in providing excellent service to our customers in the UK and Southern Ireland. Our brand is recognized worldwide for exceptional safety, quality and service and our focus is on protecting people and the environment. We engineer and manufacture safety controls for fuel storage and transport of hazardous liquids.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse and Assembly Operative to join our small team.
Part-time: Available Monday – Friday. Flexible 3-5 days/hours (By set arrangement). Hourly rate/Salary DOE
Duties
* Efficiently pick and pack products for shipping while ensuring adherence to quality standards and accurately selecting items based on orders.
* Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading goods from pallets/boxes.
* Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory and manage stock levels.
* Report/Investigate product discrepancies.
* Participate in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
* Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all packing materials are readily available.
* Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all packed items meet company specifications.
* Provide weekly light mechanical product assembly work.
* Participate for audit year-end Inventory closure.
Qualifications/Experience
* Previous warehouse experience minimum two years is essential, with a strong understanding of packing processes. Shipping and receiving procedures essential.
* Experience in materials handling, including the ability to lift heavy items safely.
* Some limited mechanical assembly work experience an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control practices.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team environment.
* Essential skills; General admin organisation written/verbal, Microsoft Office, Excel and ERP Software (training given), shipping on-line portal (training given)
* Understanding of Import/Export shipping procedures would be a benefit.
* Have ability for effective communication, answer phone for order enquiries.
* Driver’s License with minimum two years driving experience.
* Ideally live within the Cheshire region.
