The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Management Accountant will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business performance. This position will suit someone who enjoys both the technical aspects of accounting and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation.
You will be instrumental in producing management accounts, analysing financial performance, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis
* Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process across multiple departments
* Providing insightful financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making
* Business partnering with operational teams to improve financial understanding and performance
* Monitoring costs, margins, and key performance indicators
* Balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of financial records
* Assisting with year-end processes and liaising with external auditors
* Identifying and implementing process improvements within the finance function
* Supporting ad hoc financial projects as required
About You
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly
* Excellent communication skills and confidence working with non-finance stakeholders
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Proactive and commercially aware with a continuous improvement mindset
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems
