The Role
Our placements provide an opportunity to really learn how a business works. During your placement you will be hands‑on from day one, actively involved in business projects and your experience and knowledge will be utilised and strengthened during the 13 months with us. You’ll be based in our Weymouth office, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to real business outcomes.
* Design, develop, and maintain innovative software solutions for digital manufacturing.
* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including building, testing, and qualifying solutions.
* Produce comprehensive development documentation and technical specifications.
* Prepare project documentation for support, maintenance, and training to ensure smooth implementation in the production process.
About You
Enabling the digital world offers enormous scope to develop your career beyond traditional ideas of progression or promotion. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related fields, such as Software Engineering or Artificial Intelligence, who have:
* Experience with web application development technologies, for example Node.js, JavaScript frameworks, and GitHub.
* Familiarity with automated reporting and data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
* Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to cross‑functional and cross‑regional teams.
* Clear and professional communication, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues at all levels to build solid working relationships.
* Logical and systematic thinking to solve moderately complex problems.
