Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to start part-time in a primary school based in Stoke, starting after October half-term. This is a long-term role with the opportunity to go permanent on the school. About the role: Start-date: 17 th November Part-time to support a students phased return to school As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working 1-1 with a pupil to improve the transition coming back into school. The student is non-verbal and has complex SEN as well as physical needs. You will work closely with the student to support socially, emotionally and academically. This includes creating engaging sensory activities as well as aiming to improve the student’s confidence and communication. You will work closely with the students’ parents/carers to provide regular progress updates, as well as external agencies when necessary.
