About the Role:
Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties is working with a manufacturing business, recruiting for someone who can speak French and English and is excited by both business and products. In this role, you'll be helping big retail and trade customer, while also finding and buying new products from suppliers around the world.
This means some of your time is about talking to customers and making sure they get the right products at the right price. The other part is about sourcing products & working with factories to design, test, and deliver items that meet quality standards. You'll also get to travel abroad, visiting suppliers and making sure everything runs smoothly.
What You'll Do:
1. Work with French and UK retailers to grow sales and keep them happy
2. Build proposals and ideas for new products and ranges
3. Negotiate deals, pricing, and promotions so both sides win
4. Find new suppliers across International countries
5. Travel abroad to meet factories, check production, and manage product quality
6. Work on new product launches, from the idea stage, to packaging, to final delivery
7. Keep an eye on whatpetitors are doing and spot new opportunities
8. Work closely with marketing and operations teams to make sure products are delivered on time
What We're Looking For:
9. Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
10. Experience in account management and/or product sourcing (retail, consumer goods, or similar)
11. Confident negotiator with strong people skills
12. Able to analyse sales data and spot ways to grow business
13. Knowledge of working with suppliers, ideally with experience in China
14. Open to international travel
15. Organised, motivated, and able to juggle multiple projects
