Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Maintenance Technician required to join a leading engineering supplier. The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Maintenance Technician will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on compressed air equipment including compressors, and compressed air filtration products at customer sites across the Midlands with occasional travel across the UK. Full product training provided. The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Maintenance Technician will ideally have hands-on experience or knowledge in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in electromechanical servicing, fault finding and systems troubleshooting or a Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ level 3, city & guilds, HNC, HND or similar. The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products. Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment. Liaise with various engineering departments. Working at customer sites throughout Midlands with occasional travel across the UK. Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Maintenance Technician Requirements Willingness to advance complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems. Experience as a Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Graduate Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Entry level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar. Hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domains, or the willingness to learn. Strong understanding of three-phase electrics and controls, with hands-on experience preferred. Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ level 3, city & guilds, HNC, HND or similar would be a plus. Flexibility to travel across Midlands, and UK wide when required.
