Job purpose - Drive sustainable construction practices into the future
Lead our journey to net-zero by measuring, managing and reducing carbon emissions across all construction activities, focusing on a large fleet of heavy haulage vehicles. You'll develop data-led strategies and collaborate across teams to embed sustainable practices and innovative low-carbon solutions.
Salary is £55,000 - £60,000 per annum. 21 days holiday plus BH’s, Private Healthcare (Vitality Health - comes with £500 towards Eye Health, £100 towards Dental Health, Travel Insurance & more) & Pension.
Hours of work 8.30am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday - fully office-based
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
* Develop and implement methodologies for measuring carbon emissions across projects and conduct life cycle assessments (LCA)
* Identify and develop practical emission reduction strategies
* Ensure compliance with UK carbon reporting requirements inc. SECR (Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting)
* Evaluate and recommend sustainable materials and construction techniques
* Prepare carbon reports and disclosures for stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of 3 years' carbon management experience, gained in construction or the built environment sector
* Proven knowledge of carbon accounting, GHG (Greenhouse Gas) protocols
* Working knowledge of UK building regulations - Part L and emerging Future Homes/Building Standards
* Experience with environmental certification schemes (BREEAM, LEED)
* Understanding of PAS 2080
* Experience of SECR reports and TCFD disclosures
