Capital Structure Focus
In Capital Structure, our products are core to credit risk analysis, enabling clients to assess the complete financial structure of a corporate group—including maturity distribution, payment waterfall, guarantees, and recourse mapping. Accurate capital structure data is indispensable for integrating financials, valuations, and credit assessments, especially for high‑yield and leveraged segments. Our recent expansion into Loans indices further elevates data expectations.

The Role
As a Senior Technical Account Manager for CAST, you will lead the sourcing, integration, and optimization of external data critical to Bloomberg’s corporate and capital structure analytics for both public and private companies. You will identify high‑quality data providers, manage technical onboarding, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Relationship Management teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with Bloomberg’s strategic data goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead targeted outreach initiatives to identify, source, and onboard new datasets from external partners, including public and private companies, financial institutions, and data vendors.
* Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Content Relationship Management teams to design and execute onboarding workflows that ensure seamless data integration.
* Conduct market research to evaluate new and emerging data sources, analyzing their potential to enhance Bloomberg’s Capital Structure functionality and broader credit analysis solutions.
* Manage and refine data acquisition and transformation processes to maintain accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of sourced data.
* Apply analytical and technical skills to assess data quality, streamline workflows, and improve sourcing and integration efficiency.
* Partner with internal stakeholders to align sourcing efforts with Bloomberg’s strategic objectives and client data needs.
* Build and maintain productive relationships with data providers through proactive campaigns and ongoing engagement to ensure sustained coverage, quality, and reliability.
* Develop and implement best practices for external data sourcing, integration, and governance.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to expand data coverage and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of relevant experience in financial data, content acquisition, or technical account management.
* Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly Fixed Income, Private Credit, or Capital Structure.
* Demonstrated experience in data management, sourcing, and integration, with the ability to evaluate data for accuracy, completeness, and fit‑for‑purpose.
* Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and standardize complex financial data from multiple sources.
* Experience designing and improving data workflows, quality control processes, and operational governance frameworks.
* Ability to apply critical thinking to identify data quality issues and collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions.
* Strong analytical and technical problem‑solving skills, including familiarity with data transformation, validation, and analysis techniques.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Comfort working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
Desired Skills
* Familiarity with Bloomberg data products and the Bloomberg Terminal.
* Working knowledge of SQL or Python for data querying, analysis, and workflow optimization.
* Prior experience in data stewardship, ETL pipeline management, or data quality assessment.
* Exposure to partnership‑driven or sourcing‑focused roles within financial services or technology.
