Description Position Title: Temporary ASC Testing Coordinator Department: Prep Reports To: Director of the Academic Support Center (ASC) FLSA Classification: Non-exempt FTE (Full-Time Equivalent): 100% Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Leave Coverage : January 5, 2026 - June 30, 2026 Position Purpose: The temporary ASC Testing Coordinator will p rovide support to the Director of the ASC and the team to implement a testing system in the ASC that is fair, efficient, and holds all accountable. The learning resource center team assists students to realize their potential in an environment that promotes self-awareness, self-motivation, and self-advocacy in a comprehensively accessible environment. Specific Expectations for Prep Faculty & Staff: In addition to regular teaching and duties, the following duties and responsibilities are expected as part of the faculty/staff workload: chaperoning, community responsibilities, professional development and trainings, classroom substitution, holding office hours, proctoring exams, admission interviews, and attendance of, or participation in, mandatory meetings and/or events (e.g. Director’s Day, open houses, Schools’ annual auction), as required and directed by your supervisor. All employees will be paid appropriately and according to current law. In the case you are required to work outside of your normal work schedule, non-exempt employees will receive overtime pay, as eligible. Essential Functions Oversee and manage all aspects ASC testing system, including communication with teachers, final exams, and technology management Guide and educate all teachers and students to understand ASC testing system process and rationale Review all student learning plans to ensure appropriate accommodations are provided Serve as primary proctor in the testing room each day Support students regarding planning and prioritizing as it relates to academic assessments and workflow Monitor integrity of student behavior during testing and work with ASC Director and/or Dean if a student does not follow policies and practices Responsible for opening, closing, and securing the ASC Testing Center. Participate actively on ASC team, e.g., attend ASC meetings, support students in the ASC classroom when no testing is going on, visit classes to understand typical instruction and classroom culture Accomplish all tasks associated with managing weekend special testing for SAT or ACT Other duties as assigned Qualifications BA/BS degree required, teaching credential preferred. Teaching/proctoring experience in a learning resource center or classroom environment preferred but not required. Strong experience with and ability to use Notes, Gmail and Word. Willingness to adapt to an existing program as well as contribute ideas to enhance the learning support programs Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding the information made available in the course of work A clear commitment to the educational philosophy of the school as articulated in the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Schools and professional behavior based in it Strong leadership ability; enjoy working with children and adolescents Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with students, families and colleagues; willingness to be an active, enthusiastic member of the SHS community Demonstrable commitment to social justice education: equity, access, inclusion, and multiculturalism Available and willing to work between 7:45AM and 4:45PM Monday through Friday, actual schedule to be determined Excellent attendance and punctuality Physical Requirements and Work Environment Works in a busy environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
