Interventions Teaching Assistant required in Morecambe
* Full time Teaching Assistant role starting in January 2026 to the end of the academic year
* Experience supporting with phonics in EY and KS1 is essential

A busy primary school in the Morecambe (LA4) area is recruiting for a patient and experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) to deliver phonics interventions in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, supporting the development of each child. This role requires an experienced individual who can confidently and independently work with children to raise attainment across EY and KS1 by adapting learning materials to meet their specific needs.
The school is seeking a compassionate and understanding individual to work across this larger-than-average primary setting. With over 30 languages spoken among pupils and parents, ideally this person will have experience in supporting children with EAL and other language barriers. The school prides itself on ‘creating a diverse and inclusive environment’ and is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can foster a supportive atmosphere that enables children to thrive.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have extensive phonics knowledge and be comfortable delivering intervention session to children in the EYFS & KS1
* Experience supporting children with EAL would be beneficial but not essential
* Have passion for education and making a difference to children’s learning
