* Partner with facility teams and external contractors to coordinate planned maintenance and minimize operational disruptions.

* Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure service quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
* Contribute to capital planning by advising on refrigeration and energy requirements for facility expansions or upgrades.
* Analyse energy consumption data across facilities, producing reports and recommendations to guide sustainability and performance improvements.
* Ensure full compliance with European and local refrigeration and energy regulations, maintaining Americold’s reputation for operational excellence.
* Champion a culture of safety, innovation, and environmental responsibility across all touchpoints of refrigeration and energy operations.
What You Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
* 8–10 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale industrial refrigeration systems, preferably in cold storage or logistics environments.
* In-depth understanding of ammonia-based refrigeration systems and the related safety and compliance protocols.
* Track record of leading successful energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability programs in a multi-site or regional context.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical and energy performance data to drive business insights and improvements.
* Strong experience managing maintenance or energy operations across geographically dispersed facilities.
What Sets You Apart
* Practical, solutions-oriented problem solver with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
* Clear and confident communicator who thrives in cross-functional environments and can translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Well-versed in European energy efficiency legislation, refrigeration standards, and sustainability frameworks.
* Capable of balancing strategic objectives with day-to-day operational needs in a fast-paced setting.
