Experienced Theatre RN/ODP Wanted – Maternity Cover
Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KGH) is looking for a confident, Theatre Practitioner, ODP with at least 2 years’ experience in a fast‑paced theatre environment within an acute hospital setting.
This is a maternity cover role; we need someone ready to step in with skill and confidence. Visa sponsorship is not available, please review UKVI guidance around temporary employment.
Join our dynamic theatre team offering a 24/7 elective and emergency service across a wide range of specialties, including ENT, Maxillofacial, Trauma & Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Plastic Surgery, and Breast Surgery. Many of our ODPs are dual‑skilled, giving you the chance to work both anaesthetically and surgically.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with all disciplines to promote high standards for all patients requiring peri‑operative care, following appropriate training encompassing a variety of specialities.
* Provide a holistic, high‑quality, patient‑focused, comprehensive, efficient and safe service for patients cared for at Kettering General Hospital.
* Act with responsibility, accountability and integrity, reporting adverse events and poor practice to the person in charge.
* Use resources and engage in change and service improvements effectively and responsibly.
* Always act in accordance with the NMC code/HCPC and local standards of care and policies.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years’ experience as a Theatre Practitioner/ODP in an acute hospital setting.
* Confirmed qualification as RN or ODP and registration with the NMC.
* Experience in a fast‑paced theatre environment.
* Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.
