The Role
A multi-functional role, intended to provide support to the site Facilities Manager in the delivery of day-to-day Facilities Management (FM) services. Working as part of a team and on their own initiative, the postholder will work to provide an excellent level of customer service for all SSE colleagues and visitors and assist in all aspects of delivering high quality FM services.
The role will involve an element of travel, with the postholder occasionally required to visit other sites to cover periods of annual leave, sickness absence and other unforeseen events.

In this role include (but not limited to) the following areas of FM activity, including administration duties, audit processes, reception, organising maintenance tasks, ensuring effective customer service, dealing with stakeholders, dispute/conflict resolution, management of contractors and other third party service providers, production of FM related reports, assisting with desk/staff moves, car park management, administration and co-ordination of catering and hospitality services.
Be required to deputise for the Facilities Manager during period of absence, holidays or when the Facilities Manager is unavailable to deal with issues directly.
Coach and mentor colleagues where required to ensure all aspects of building management are delivered. Attend training courses as requested to build knowledge adding value to the FM Team delivery. Identify training needs within the team of Facilities Assistants.
Ensure that the programmed audit targets are delivered. Maintain a high-quality stakeholder experience. Deal positively with complaints/negative feedback, quickly resolving these in an effective manner.
Actively take part in discussions which generate ideas to improve working practices. Log all innovative ideas and follow up feedback. Cascade feedback received from site occupants to enable the FM Team to review/amend process in order to meet customer demands and expectations.
You have
A qualification related to the FM profession such as IWFM, NEBOSH, IOSH or any other accreditations in line with the FM discipline. This can include any accreditations currently being worked towards.
The ability to identify, interrogate and resolve problems
Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders, across a number of business functions to support the delivery of their departmental goals.
Ability to manage staff, lead and direct the site Facilities Assistants in a positive manner and as directed by the Facilities Manager.
An understanding of both hard and soft FM services in relation to how they support the building and its customer base.
